Nigel wrote his first proposal (which was successful) in 1994. However, it was not until he joined an international engineering consulting firm in 1996 that he began writing proposals on a full-time basis. Since then he has helped to write hundreds of proposals ranging from short letter proposals for services worth a few thousand dollars to more complex multi-volume proposals for contracts worth many millions of dollars.

These specialised proposal skills are combined with fifteen years of business experience in a number of positions and across a wide variety of industries including government (from when he was a Commissioned Officer in the Defence Force), building, manufacturing and resources.

Nigel's qualifications include a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (with Honours) from Curtin University of Technology, Perth in 1986 and a Master of Business Administration from Monash University, Melbourne in 1995. He has also completed a number of courses relevant to the writing of proposals including 'Advanced Writing Skills' and 'Tendering Skills Development'.

Nigel has access to a team of professionals to help with the development of proposals including tender specialists, risk consultants, OH&S personnel, graphic designers and printers.
